Radiate

.

.
In the Composite family, radiate refers to a type of flower head bearing bisexual disc florets and ray florets around the circumference.  Informally, having true rays.

Many variations of radiate head morphology exist.  Depending on the species, ray florets may be unisexual (usually pistillate), neuter, sterile, or bisexual.  Some species produce multiple series of ray florets, such as Tussilago farfara.
